Overview

Established Industrial Contractor is currently recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This position will play an important role in hiring, testing, and mobilizing manpower to field projects. This position will work very closely with the Human Resources Manager, Project Managers, Onsite Superintendents, and other team members. This position will be located and worked from our La Porte, TX office.

Responsibilities

Ability to operate efficiently within the role.

Act as the first point of contact for employees who need to update their personal information, need assistance with benefits, general forms, or basic policy questions.

Takes all incoming calls.

Hire new employees / Onboard through I-cims.

Communicates with employees about their documentation and answers specific questions of employees.

Schedule new hire orientations with Workforce Development Manager.

Schedule drug screens and medical testing (Must be familiar with DISA / Occ. Meds.).

Schedule site classes, training, etc. through Safety Council.

Must be knowledgeable with NCCER, NCCCO, OSHA, TWIC, and other industry certifications.

Ensures criminal record and driver's checks are completed timely and filed appropriately.

Files and updates HRIS to reflect new employee trainings and certifications.

Administer, track, and file performance review documentation and other related performance management paperwork.

Supports HR Projects and Initiatives.

Ability to perform data entry task in a timely manner.

Ability to use common office equipment.

Ability to track and enter employee information.

Ability to work under pressure and tough deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Degree or industry certifications preferred.

Must have 3+ years in the role of an Industrial Human Resources Administrator.

Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience working in the Industrial or Commercial Construction Industry.

Proficiency in using Outlook (E-mail), attaching files, forwarding, writing and responding in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to learn new systems required to perform the tasks associated with the job.

Possess good organizational skills and self-motivated.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
